Councilwoman Connie Kepert and Councilman Neil Foley attended the Medford Fire Department’s 7th Annual Fire Prevention Family Open House

Farmingville, NY – On October 9, Councilwoman Connie Kepert and Councilman Neil Foley attended the Medford Fire Department’s 7th Annual Fire Prevention Family Open House. This free, family-friendly event featured giveaways, refreshments, face painting, demonstrations, and practice DAN (Drills at Night) in the department’s Fire Prevention Trailer. At the event, Councilmembers Kepert and Foley presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the department in recognition of their annual hosting of this event to bring awareness to the importance of being prepared for emergency situations. 

“I was pleased to have a chance to stop by the Medford Fire Department’s Open House where essential information was provided on fire prevention and fire safety,” said Councilwoman Connie Kepert. “The family-friendly event was also full of fun and educational activities and demonstrations for the kids. Thank you to the Medford Fire Department for working tirelessly to host this important event every year.” 

Councilman Foley said, “The members of the Medford Fire Department do so much in the community and this open house is another example of their dedication to protect property and save lives. I commend their efforts and urge residents to learn about fire safety and be prepared if a fire emergency occurs.”
